CT Guided TTNA and Core Biopsy in Suspected Lung Cancer, Review of Cases in Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan

ounds: The cytological and histopathological findings establish the type of lung cancer cells as definitive diagnosis cancer. This study aimed to determine characteristics patients in terms age, mean gender, staging, proportion by cytologic examination Transthoracic Needle Aspiration (TTNA) histopathologic evaluation from CT-guided core biopsy. Method: is a descriptive involving 42 subjects diagnosed with at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan 2016-2020 that met inclusion criteria through consecutive sampling. Data was analysed using statistics for categorical variables. Results: Of subjects, 60–71-year age group had highest percentage (42.9%). Male (71.4%) higher than female, most common staging IVA (57.1%), adenocarcinoma found be frequent both cytology (33.3%) histopathology (31.0%). Conclusion: We concluded biopsy superior diagnosing compared TTNA.
